Dinosaur State Park is in Rocky Hill, south of Hartford, CT. In 1966 dinosaur tracks were discovered while trying to build a state building. After the discovery, the site was designated a state park.
Connecticut built a dome over some of the tracks, reburying the rest to preserve them. In all there were over 1500 tracks found, the majority made by Dilophosaurus. Here Magnus admires the silhouettes of the animals that made the tracks, the big one is Dilophosaurus.
Dino Tracks!
There was also a button that made little spot lights follow some sets of footprints as they walked across the floor
Magnus liked this T.Rex footprint cast. Also us and a Dilophosaurus:
Magnus and Ruth try out being dinosaurs:
We also visited the site of the future Hartford Connecticut LDS Temple. They just broke ground for it in August.
Our last stop was Plymouth, CT to see Buttermilk Falls. The Falls were low on water, but they were still very pretty. And the rocks the water flowed over were really cool looking.
