While my parents were here we also managed to squeeze in a visit to the zoo. Dana and I had been planning to go to the zoo this day for several months, so it just worked out.
Magnus liked the sea lion and the penguins.
Some of the lorikeets were friendlier than others. This one wanted to see the giant black eye that was staring at him.
It was also fun to see the cheetahs (we have been to the zoo many times and have rarely see them). Plus the six-month-old baby elephant was really cute.
After lunch Grandma and Grandpa took Magnus home for a rest and Ruth and Dana stayed at the zoo to get in line to see “Weird Al” Yankovic!
He sang lots of songs we knew and loved and several we hadn’t heard before. I was also impressed by all of his costumes. Yay for Weird Al!
