Our ward had a Youth Conference this summer at the beach! It was a beautiful day! We were able to drive right out on the sand which was fun.
Our Young Men President brought some surf boards and taught whoever wanted to surf. Others just had fun body surfing.
In the afternoon while the kids did an activity, Dana took Magnus up the coast a little ways to see the Wreck of the Peter Iredale.
I was put in charge of the button making contraption to make buttons that read, “I’m hangin’ on!” (Our theme was “Hold to the Rod”).
Some of the girls had fun digging holes and making sand sculptures. They were happy to let Magnus help. Can you find him in these pictures?
Near the end of the day, we could see the pelicans coasting along the water looking for num-nums.
And what beach trip is complete without a bonfire and fireside?
