After a drought

So, here are some pictures from our more recent adventures. And by recent I mean Christmas.

First, we had to drive through Utah and Idaho in the snow. Then, instead of driving through the Gorge to get home, we had to drive around Mt. Hood with our chains on. This is what it looked like.

Luckily, we made it home and only lost one chain. We celebrated Christmas with Dana's family. There were lots of fun presents. And pictures.

On Christmas Eve, Steen read the Christmas story for us. Katie brought puppets and we all helped act out the parts.

During the break we also had the opportunity to go to my niece's baby blessing! It was fun to see my sister and brother-in-law (and nephew). And my brother got to come with us too all the way from Cheney.

For new years, they all came over to Dana's for fondue and the kids all played together. Thanks for coming and playing with us, Guptills! The kids (most of them) stayed up till after midnight! So much fun!

Now the boring part:
Dana and I made it back to Utah just in time for classes. Really, just in time. We were driving home and in Riverton one of the belts in our engine snapped. We stayed at Dana's Uncle's house and he helped us get our car repaired so we could make it home.

So now we've gotten into the swing of the semester. I'm taking editing classes and Dana is doing more of the same... The good news is that we are graduating in August and moving out of Utah! It's a miracle! Yay for us.

And here is a picture of me holding a beautiful yellow python. :-)

We are moving to wherever Dana gets a job as a lab flunky. He'll work for a year and then go to grad school, at least that's the plan now.

The snake makes a lovely necklace Ruth.

Just to warn you, every time we swore we were leaving Utah, we ended up staying for a few more years...and when we cursed Idaho...well you know where we live.

I liked seeing all your celebatory pics.
