Wahkeena to Multnomah

Dana went on a hike with Anton and one of his friends on the Wahkeena-Multnomah Loop. There was lots of cool things to see, including several waterfalls.

We started the hike at Wahkeena Falls and its beautiful cascade.

After climbing to top I found the old abandon trail to an old viewpoint at the top of the falls.

I also found Little Necktie Falls.

Further up the trail is Fairy Falls, one of my new favorites. It looks almost fake.

It is a pretty trail. I also found this very old sign.

Coming down the other side we passed Ecola Falls:

Then Wiesendanger Falls and Duchman Tunnel.

Then the look down the 635 foot drop of Multnomah Falls. It’s a long way down.

A very quick drop down the cliff using many switchbacks brought us to the newly restored Benson Bridge over the falls. The bridge had previously been damaged by a rock fall and is now open again.
